Virtual Holiday Grief Group for Couples
Grieving Together, Differently
A Holiday Grief Group for Couples After the Death of a Baby or Child
Virtual • Separate Texas and Oregon cohorts • 3-hour gathering + 1-hour integration • Maximum 5 couples
You can love the same child deeply and still experience their death very differently.
One of you may want to say your child's name and include them in every tradition. The other may need distance from reminders just to get through the day. One may want to talk. The other may become quiet, stay busy, or try to hold everything together.
These differences do not necessarily mean one of you loved more or that your relationship is failing. But when neither person feels understood, different ways of grieving can begin to feel like distance.
You don't have to grieve the same way to stay close.

Both partners enroll together, and both meetings are part of one connected group experience.
Because psychotherapy takes place in the state where a participant is physically located, participants must attend from the state attached to their selected cohort. For the couples offering, both partners must be physically located in the selected state.
A few hours to be with grief as a couple.
This is an experiential gathering for couples, not a support group where you narrate the details of a death to a room. You won't be asked to compare your grief, or to explain your relationship to anyone outside it.
Together we'll use grounding, reflection, and quiet experiential practice to make room for the child you're missing, and for the way each of you carries that.
A one-hour couples integration meeting follows the gathering, so what opens between you has somewhere to land.
Who this is for
- A couple in which one or both partners are carrying the loss of a baby or child that feels louder during the holidays
- Partners who grieve at different paces or in different ways, and want to stay close through it
- A couple who can use a structured, held space together
Different rhythms of grief don't have to become distance between you.
What's included
The $695 investment covers both partners and includes:
- One three-hour couples gathering
- One one-hour couples integration meeting
- A private digital couples companion
- Preparation information
A required couples consultation is $40 per couple. If the couple enrolls, the $40 is applied toward the $695 total, leaving $655 remaining.
YOUR PARTICIPANT MATERIALS
Grieving Together, Differently: A Couples Companion
Your investment includes a couples companion created for this experience. Some pages are for private reflection, while others offer optional ways to talk together about memory, difference, closeness, support, and what each person may need during the holidays.
Partners are not expected to complete the pages together, arrive at the same understanding, or grieve in the same way. Private writing remains private unless someone chooses to share it.
This resource is here to support your experience, not to measure your progress. Nothing is submitted, graded, or required to be shared with the group.
Format & logistics
Virtual, with separate cohorts for couples located in Texas and in Oregon. The Texas cohort is available only to couples who are physically located in Texas during the gathering, and the Oregon cohort only to couples physically located in Oregon.
Each cohort is a small closed group of 3 to 5 couples, a maximum of 10 people. The couples gathering is three hours, followed by a one-hour couples integration meeting. Maximum 5 couples.
This offering is currently open by interest list.
Full fee details are on our Fees & Policies page.
Privacy in the group
I'm bound by professional confidentiality and its legal exceptions. Couples are expected to respect one another's privacy. I can't guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality, so please make thoughtful choices about what you share. Detailed disclosure about your child or how they died is not required.
