You’re tired of planning your life around what might happen.
Maybe it starts in your body. Your heart races, your breathing changes, and suddenly you’re afraid something terrible is happening.
Maybe you know exactly what you’re afraid of. Heights. Flying. Trains. Spiders. Needles. Falling. Speaking in front of people. Something you keep avoiding, even when you want—or need—to do it.
Or maybe the hardest part is waiting for it to happen again.
It’s affecting more than that one moment.
You check where the exits are. You think about whether you can leave. You turn down something you wanted to do because getting through it feels like too much.
You may look fine to everyone else. They don’t see how much planning goes into getting through an ordinary day—or what you’ve quietly stopped doing.
You don’t have to know what to call it.
You might call it panic. Anxiety. Worry. You might just know you can’t keep doing this.
I’m specifically trained to distinguish panic attacks, what people describe as ‘anxiety attacks,’ and phobias. I want to know what happens for you—not just what you’ve been calling it.
What scares you about getting on the plane? The flight itself? Having an attack? Being unable to leave? What happens before you speak in front of people—and afterward?
I also pay attention to intrusive thoughts, trauma responses, and reactions you don’t have a clear memory for. We don’t need to force an explanation. We need to understand what you’re dealing with.
Working with me
I work in person in San Antonio and New Braunfels, and virtually in Texas, Oregon, Colorado, and Washington.

New, severe, or unfamiliar physical symptoms need medical attention. This page cannot tell you whether symptoms are panic or a medical emergency. Therapy does not replace medical care.
Tell me what keeps happening.
You don’t need to arrive with the right label. Tell me what happens, what you’re afraid of, and what it’s getting in the way of.
