Therapy Intensives

Therapy Intensives

Extended, protected time for individual or relationship work, when that format is clinically appropriate for what you're facing.

More time doesn’t mean moving faster, or forcing depth. It means more room to orient, work, pause, and integrate.

Two ways to have more room.

An intensive doesn’t have to replace your ongoing therapy.

Some people come to me while already working with a therapist. Others aren’t currently in therapy at all.

When another therapist is involved, the question isn’t whether you’re allowed to have more than one provider. It’s whether the roles make sense together.

An intensive may serve as one focused part of a larger treatment plan, with your existing therapist continuing to provide ongoing care. When needed, we’ll coordinate so that everyone understands the treatment focus, sequencing, and what happens after the intensive.

For other people, adding an intensive while another treatment is underway would create too much overlap. We’ll figure that out before we begin.

Sometimes ongoing therapy is the better fit. SFT offers ongoing individual and couples therapy as current services, and an intensive is not the presumed next step. We’ll decide what format makes sense through the consultation and assessment.

Not sure an intensive is actually the right fit?

That’s something we can figure out through the New Client Consultation and the assessment. Ongoing individual therapy, ongoing couples therapy, an intensive, or another service may be the better fit depending on what you’re bringing in.
